Fresh unadultered foods contain all the nutrients to enable the body to function optimally. However; it’s estimated that 70% of our modern diet has no nutritional value, has little enzyme activity, and contains little or no fibrous material. This is due to the depletion of nutrients in the soil over the past decades and the processing of foods that strips it of vital nutrients and kills the enzymes that would enable us to digest and properly utilize the nutrition in the foods we eat.
There are forty nutrients that cannot be made in the body. They are Essential Fatty Acid, 15 vitamins, 14 minerals, and ten Amino Acids. From these our bodies synthesize an estimated 10,000 different compounds essential to health. Without Enzymes there is not life. Enzymes run your body. Every metabolic function in our body and every chemical reaction that keeps us healthy is helped by enzymes.
When the fiber is removed, digestion is slow, waste materials stay in the body longer and create toxicity and disease. So, what can you do to get yourself on a path to literally transform the way you eat?
Create a Simple Approach to Eating Well!
I break it down into 3 manageable steps:
Purpose to have fun and be creative with herbs, natural seasonings, healthy oils and natural dressings and sauces. You can even add some dark chocolate for dessert. Drink Plenty of water in between meals and only 4 ounces with a meal so you don’t dilute your gastric juices that support digestion.
You are never depriving yourself when you are creating health and wellness in your body. The benefits of simple eating are unlimited…much improved health and energy, less time spent preparing foods, role modeling for your family how to eat and stay well for a lifetime, and less time spent shopping once you have a system in place to only purchase real foods.
“You don’t have to eat less, you just have to eat right!”
